After five years as General Manager of Azercell Telecom J.V., Mr. Erdal Otuzbir has resigned from his post to become President of Fintur Holding  B. V., which owns the foreign investments of Turkcell Group Companies as well as technical companies like Digiturk and Superonline in Turkey.As part of his new position, Otuzbir will be overseeing Azercell as well as three other GSM operator companies: Moldcell in Moldova, Geocell in Georgia and K’Cell in Kazakhstan.

Otuzbir, who was born in Turkey in 1956, graduated from Stockholm University with a degree in computer science. He was hired as Azercell’s General Manager when the company started operations in 1996; prior to that, he worked for Turkcell in Turkey, and Ericsson and Citibank in Sweden. As of January 2, 2002, Ms. Esra Tan is the new General Manager of Azercell Telecom J.V. Tan was born in 1969 in Istanbul, Turkey. She has a degree from the Electronics and Communication Engineering Department of Istanbul Technical University. Tan has worked in various positions for Siemens, Telsim and Ericsson. Most recently, she served as a Deputy Vice President for Ericsson.
