Azercell Telecom JV’s grandiose successes in development of international communication

During 2003 Azerbaijan’s cellular market leading carrier Azercell Telecom JV contributed significantly in development of the country’s international communication.

Last year Azercell’s roaming group has achieved unprecedented results this year. It has concluded 45 roaming agreements for cellular communication carriers of 17 countries and satellite communication carrier Thuraya Sat.

During December alone 8 international agreements have been concluded:

• in India — for carrier HUTCHISON Max Telecom (Orange)
• in Greece — Q-Telecom
• In Italy — H3G
• In Bangladesh — GrameenPhone Ltd
• In Belarus — JLLC Mobile TeleSystems
• In Quwait — Mobile Telecommunications Co.
• On Jamaica — Mossel (Digicel) Ltd
• In Algeria — Orascom Telecom

Thus, by the moment Azercell Telecom JV has concluded 188 roaming agreements for carriers of 87 countries. Continuously raising number of roaming agreements, Azercell Telecom JV opens new capabilities of international communication for its subscribers.

Having connected to international roaming service, Azercell’s subscribers may easily use cellular communication services in each of 87 countries of the world.
