Jubilee exhibition of Vajiha Samedova and Latif Feyzullayev opened

Opening of the exhibition devoted to the 80th anniversary of Vajiha Samedova and 85th jubilee of Latif Feyzullayev, outstanding artists and honored art workers of Azerbaijan, took place in the Sattar Bakhlulzade exhibition centre. The exhibition is held with organizational support of Azercell Telecom JV. Representatives of Azerbaijan art, culture and publicity took part at the exhibition opening. At the opening ceremony Azerbaijani Culture Minister Polad Bul Bul oglu especially stressed a great role that Samedova and Feyzullayev have played in development of Azerbaijani art. Owing to these artists, painting lovers throughout the world could familiarize themselves with Azerbaijani culture. He has also thanked Azercell Telecom for organizational support provided to the exhibition and its active participation in social and cultural life of the country.

The works created by Samedova and Feyzullayev mostly in the 1950—1970s are displayed at the exhibition. The paintings have been exhibited after their trip to Bulgaria in the early 1960s and even today they are remarkable for their originality and urgency. The works devoted to the Absheron peninsula, which occupied a special place in the both artists creativity, are also exhibited and they have been highly assessed by the visitors.

One can say for sure that visitors, including outstanding artists, art workers, guests, students and etc, were deeply impressed by the exhibition.

Azercell Telecom has also produced CD and catalogue of creativity of Samedova and Feyzullayev.

Those who failed to visit the exhibition could do that till May 27.
