The best picture on asphalt competition “Lets Draw!” with participation of about 250 schoolchildren from various Baku’s schools has been held in National Seaside Park through sponsorship of Azercell Telecom JV and support of Ministry of Youth, Sports and Tourism.

While opening the competition Azercell’s representative Nigar Shykhlinskaya-Aliyeva welcomed its participants and guests and wished young artists success on behalf of the company. Deputy Minister of Youth, Sports and Tourism Intiqam Babayev said that though the competition is devoted to the International Day of Children Protection, every events concerned with children is always a holiday. He thanked leader of Azerbaijani cellular communication market and most active participant of social investments projects — Azercell Telecom JV — for holding the competition.

Then children giving free rain to their fantasy started drawing pictures on the subject “We Are Azerbaijanis!” on the asphalt using crayons. Very soon asphalt of the Seaside Park was covered with pictures of national flag, sea, sky, Sun, Maiden Tower, children with linked arms…

The jury comprised of famous Azeri artists has chosen the winners in three age groups. Therefore, the thirst three places in the age group from 7 to 9 years were won by Nazrin Mamedova, Aytan Nuriyeva and Rena Gasymzade; winners in the age group between 10 and 12 years were Gunai Beylarova, Almaz Abdullayeva and Nargiz Zeynalova; winners in the age group between 13 and 15 years were Alihuseyn Bagirov, Jeihun Kazimov and Nargiz Rakhmanova. The third prize winners were presented with easels and professional artist’s sets, second prize winners with mobile phones and the first prize winners with PC. All participants of the competition have been given a certificate.

The competition was just one of many actions arranged by Azercell for children. The company is always friends with children and is glad to organize various interesting competitions and projects for them. The company will further continue supporting children to help them to display their talents, thoughts and feelings.
