Concert “Canim Memleketim” started from Ganja

Azercell Telecom JV successfully continues its new “Milyonlarin kampaniyasi!” which started on July 1 and will end on September 30, 2005.

In addition to presentation of thousands of gifts and cards, during the campaign it is planned to hold six concerts of singer Zulfiya Khanbabayeva called “My Native Country” in the Azerbaijani regions, the first of which took place on July 22 in Ganja.

Owing to Azercell’s great support, the concert has been organized up to world standards. The singer had movable make-up room, stage with the area of 100 sq.metres, lightning and sound equipment. The creative power of many people was needed to hold the concert at a high level.

The day before the concert, Zulfiya Khanbabayeva invited all Ganja residents to the concert in her interview at Ganja-based television channel Kapaz TV. During her tour the singer and accompanying her people visited the reserve, where one of our national properties Gei-Gel lake is located.

Over 80,000 people came to the concert, which started at 9.00 p.m. at Heydar Aliyev square. The singer sang 25 songs.

All Ganja’s population took part at the “Milyonlarin kampaniyasi” which was shown at Leader television channel. The code of winning unit was found by 80,000 viewers: having simultaneously pressed Stop button, 2 of 222 Azercell’s subscribers won 20 million manat at a moment.

During the concert Zulfiya Khanbabayeva sang in duet with musical band Sual and her performance was accompanied by the ballet group Todes. At the end of the concert, which lasted over three hours, Khanbabayeva sang potpourri of her songs and concluded the concert with song Azerbaijan, which was accompanied by fireworks. The people, who were impatiently waiting for this song, joined her.

During the Campaign of Millions Azercell Telecom JV will hold concerts of honored artist of the republic Zulfiya Khanbabayeva in various cities and regions of the country twice a month with the purpose to favor people with joy. The next concerts will be held on August 5 in Guba, on August 19 in Sheki, on September 2 in Nakhchivan, on September 16 in Lenkoran and at last on September 30 in Baku.
