Azercell Telekom concluded two more GPRS/MMS roaming agreements

“Azercell Telecom” JV, the biggest company of Azerbaijan’s cellular communications market, continues expanding possibilities of its subscribers for integration into international communication. “Azercell Telecom”, which always provides qualitative services at the mobile communications market, has taken one more step to offer its subscribers a possibility to freely speak by cell phone from two more countries. This time the company has concluded GPRS/MMS roaming agreement with Turkish “Avea” and Uzbekistan’s “Uzdunrobita” operators.

“Avea” is the second Turkish company, with which “Azercell Telecom” has concluded GPRS/MMS roaming agreement. For the first time GPRS/MMS roaming service was put into operation in Azerbaijan by “Azercell Telecom”. This new type of roaming service, provided on the basis of the contract, was concluded between “Azercell Telecom” JV and leading Turkish mobile communication operator “Turkcell”.

Turkey is a friendly and brotherly country, which first recognized Azerbaijan’s independence and always supports Azerbaijan. Economic relationships have been rapidly developing between our countries. Owing to new GPRS/MMS roaming service put into operation by “Azercell Telecom” and “Avea”, the company’s subscribers that are on a business or tourist trip in Turkey, could use more convenient communication with wide assortment of services. Close communication ties and application of new services in this field will contribute to closer relationships between the countries.

Located between Amu-Darya and Syr-Darya rivers Uzbekistan is the country, which has the most interesting history among the Central Asian republics. Being a developed country, Uzbekistan preserves the sprit of extreme antiquity. From now on any Azercell’s subscriber in Uzbekistan could use services provided by “Uzdunrobita” operator and enjoy GRPS/MMS services.

By present “Azercell Telecom” JV has concluded GPRS/MMS roaming agreements with 22 operators in 14 countries. The biggest cellular communication company of the country will further continue its efforts to expanding possibilities of subscribers in mobile communication.
