Azercell Telecom JV awarded “UGUR-2005” prize!

“Azercell Telecom” JV has been awarded the prize “Ugur-2005” in 2 nominations. For three years running “Azercell Telecom” JV becomes laureate of “Ugur” prize! For its activities during 2003 the operator has been awarded the prize in the nomination “Company of the Year”; in 2004 in the nomination “Charitable Activities of the Year” and General Director of “Azercell Telecom” Serdar Canogullari took the prize in the nomination “Top Manager.”

The winners are being selected by experts on the basis of annual social and economic results of activities of enterprises pretending to the prize.

At the “Ugur-2005” award ceremony “Azercell Telecom” has been announced as a winner in the nomination “Company of the Year” and tariff packet GencSim in the nomination “Project of the Year!”

The prizes were handed to the head of company’s Corporate Communications Unit Kamilla Isayeva. In her speech Kamilla Isayeva stressed that for about ten years “Azercell Telecom” JV has been providing services to Azerbaijani people. “Our activities cover not only telecommunication field, but also such fields as science, education, sports, culture and charity. I am glad that results of our job are highly assessed. In 2006 ‘Azercell Telecom’ will continue implementing new original projects and will try to make its subscribers happy!”

The company’s specific weight at mobile communication market constitutes 80%. It covers 74, 5% territory and 98, 7% population of the republic and it provides qualitative telecommunication services. By present “Azercell” has over 1.750.000 subscribers.

It is not accidental that GencSim packet has been awarded prize in the nomination “Project of the Year”. Launching of new tariff packet GencSim has become among the main achievements of “Azercell Telecom”, leader of telecommunication market of the country, in 2005. GencSim is very popular now among the subscribers. GencSim is the tariff packet specially designed for young subscribers and it offers many privileges.
