How Azercell Telecom’s GSM network affects environment and social-economic field?

Azercell Telecom JV has held presentation of the document “Assessment of Impact of Azercell Telecom GSM Network on Environment and Social-Economic Field” for the publicity. The first presentation took place on January 27 in Neftchala city. Azercell Telecom is the only enterprise in the communication field, which has prepared the document on operation of its network.

Presentation and discussion of the document has been held in the Neftchala’s Cultural House. Over 200 Neftchala region’s residents as well as guests and journalists arrived from Baku have gathered to discuss the document. While opening the presentation Ogtai Kerimov, deputy chief of local executive administration, welcomed participants and highly assessed the fact that the document is presented and discussed in Neftchala on the eve of 10th anniversary of Azercell Telecom ’s activities in the country.

At first the participants have been informed about the work done by the company during nine years and its perspective plans. Social and economic showings of Azercell Telecom JV prove that the company occupies leading positions not only at the telecommunication market, but also in many other sectors of the country. Then presentation of the document has started. According to the presentations of Azercell Telecom’s representatives and independent experts, the research has established that equipment of Azercell Telecom’s GSM network is up-to-date, environmentally friendly and corresponds to all the norms as well as effective from social and economic view point. It has been stressed that while assembling equipment throughout the republic Azercell Telecom takes into account local conditions and guarantees absence of any negative affect of the equipment on the environment and socio-economic field.

Proposals and opinions of representatives of local publicity have been heard and answers were given to their questions at the end of the meeting.

The day before the presentation representatives of Azercell Telecom JV have visited Neftchala-based boarding school named after martyr Mehman Safarov and donated 100 bedroom suites and two computers to children.

Arrival of representatives of Azercell Telecom JV to the boarding sch ool on such a frosty and snowy day has made children happy. The company’s delegation told, that providing support to socially vulnerable section of population is a part of Azercell Telecom’s investment policy and this policy will be pursued in the future. Therefore, Azercell Telecom JV has laid the basis to another showing in the telecommunication field.

In addition to providing qualitative services, the operator has accomplished the assessing of impact of its network on environment and socio-economic field up to world standards.

Azercell Telecom has once again proved that it cares not only about its subscribers, but also about all citizens and environment.
