Azercell Telecom JV made a present to Oil Academy

“Azercell Telecom” JV continues making social investments in the republic. After the visit to the refugees camps, the company’s representatives have visited Azerbaijan State Oil Academy and met with its staff and students. The leader of the country’s cellular communication market has presented the Academy with 25 sets of personal computers. Kamilla Isayeva, chief of “Azercell Telecom” JV’s Corporate Communications Unit, has made a speech at the meeting. She said that the company and Azerbaijan State Oil Academy have established very close relationships. “Azerbaijan is an ancient oil country. Owing to efforts of the Academy’s disciples, significant success has been achieved in the fuel and energy sector, which play a great role in development of our economy. Local oilmen have discovered rich oil deposits not only in our republic, but also in the neighboring countries. Young people from Azerbaijan and from far and near abroad studied and study now in the Oil Academy. This fact once again proves that Azerbaijan State Oil Academy is a high level educational institution with its own traditions. I wish the Academy’s staff to successfully follow its traditions. I assure you that our company will further assist you in implementation of this difficult, but very important mission!”

Ramiz Gumbatov, Oil Academy’s pro-rector for science and technique, has thanked “Azercell Telecom” JV and its administration for support and care.

It has become a tradition for the leader of Azerbaijan mobile communication market to provide support to the Academy. For two years computers in the Academy’s educational centre are connected to internet owing to “Azeronline”. In addition, the past six years the operator has been sponsoring students scientific-technical conferences in the Academy with the purpose to familiarize publicity with results of scientific studies conducted by the students, exchange information between students and enrich their experience of appearing in public.
