Azercell Telecom JV received “GSM Company of the Year” award

Success achieved by “Azercell Telecom” JV during the past years, company’s investments in Azerbaijan’s economy, support provided to development of culture, art and sports in the country and its charitable activities have been estimated by publicity at their true worth. This is confirmed by numerous awards and diplomas conferred to the company. “Caspian Energy Integration Award — 2006” prize was the last award received by “Azercell Telecom” JV. It was handed to the company by international analytical magazine “Caspian Magazine” in the nomination “GSM Company of the Year”.

Natig Aliyev, Minister of Industry and Energy, has made a speech at the award ceremony. Speaking about economic success achieved by Azerbaijan during the past years, he stressed that “Azercell Telecom” JV and other awarded companies have worked as hard as they could to achieve that. He added that each of the company-member of “Caspian Integration Business Club” has taken measures to strengthen economic image of the country at the international arena.

Minister of Economic Development Heydar Babayev said that it’s time to assess worthily activities of leading Azerbaijani companies, which take part at the award ceremony,

As previously, in 2005 “Azercell Telecom” JV applied the latest innovations and technologies in field of telecommunication in Azerbaijan’s cellular communication. While receiving award on behalf of the company, Nigar Miriyeva, representative of “Azercell Telecom” JV Marketing Department, has congratulated all the prize-winners and assured all participants that “Azercell Telecom” JV will continue taking efforts in the name of Azerbaijan’s prosperity.
