Azercell Telecom JV took step to develop azerbaijani art

“Azercell Telecom” JV has made an important step for preservation and development of Azerbaijani culture. Mobile communication’s operator has achieved return of personal piano of our genius composer Gara Garayev to Azerbaijani culture. Once genius Azerbaijani composer Gara Garayev has presented his piano to one of his students. After decease of this man, the musical instrument was put up for sale, a source from Cultural Fund named after Suleyman Aleskerov told company. Leader of cellular communication market of the country has bought the piano at a very high price, restored it and presented to National Conservatory with the purpose to immortalize memory of this outstanding composer.

Siyavush Kerimi has highly assessed this step take by “Azercell Telecom” JV and said that in such a way the company has prevented complete disappearance and even destruction of this musical instrument, which is of historical importance for our country’s culture. He has thanked “Azercell Telecom” JV’s administration on behalf of National Conservatory’s staff. Presenting the piano to the National Conservatory has become a real holiday for teachers and young musicians studying here. Siyavush Kerimi, rector of National Conservatory, Farhad Badalbeili, rector of Baku Musical Academy, as well as outstanding workers of art, teachers, students and many guests attended the piano handing over ceremony. On this occasion young musicians have arranged a concert and charmed the guests with their talents.

Farhad Badalbeili has also tendered thanks to the company, which has returned the personal piano of genius composer to the Azerbaijani culture.

Leader of cellular communication market of the country always pays attention to preservation and development of Azerbaijan’s culture and art. “Azercell Telecom” has provided a great support to organize exhibition devoted to the 80th anniversary of Vajiha Samedova and 85th jubilee of Latif Feizullayev to develop our culture. The disk with works of these artists has been issued and catalogue of their works printed through the company’s support. The project “Recollecting Genius” devoted to the 120th jubilee of outstanding Azerbaijani composer Uzeir Hajibekov has been implemented through support of leader of mobile communication market and with participation of pianist of Murad Adygezalzade and artist Aida Makhmudova in State Philharmonic Hall named after Muslim Magomayev.
