Mr. A. Halim Atesh is a new General Manager of “Azercell Telecom” J.V.

It is nearly 10 years our company “Azercell Telecom” JV is a leader of Azerbaijan’s mobile communication market. At the beginning of this year there was a staff change in our company. New General Manager Mr. A. Halim Atesh has been appointed in “Azercell Telecom” J.V. from April 3, 2006.

After graduation from Bilkent University in Ankara he has acquired a profession of Tourism and Hotel Management. 36-year-old Mr. Halim Atesh has received the bachelor decree on business management in Gazi University, Ankara. When completed his army service, he worked as a human resources specialist in Akbank from 19996 to 1997, in Esbank in 1997—1998, till 2002 as a human resources manager in “Turkcell” company and from 2002 to 2004 as a head of Staff Department in “Fintur Holding”B.V. During the past two years Mr. A. Halim Atesh was a head of Moldova’s operator, “Moldcell”, founded by “Fintur Holding”.

Mr. Serdar Canogullari, former General Manager of “Azercell Telecom” J.V., represented our company from December 2002 to April 2006. During these years, as a leader of Azerbaijan’s mobile communication market we Achieved great success and number of subscribers increased from 912,137 to 1,813,979. At present Mr. Serdar Canogullari has been appointed as head of Kazakhstan’s mobile operator “K’CELL” also founded by “Fintur Holding”.

During 10 years of our activities in Azerbaijan we have invested a total of $433.979.989 into communication sector and transferred taxes of $259.872.367 to state budget. During 2005 specific weight of our payments to state budget of Azerbaijan Republic constituted 4.09%. “Azercell Telecom” is the main tax-payer in the non-oil sector.

Our company is determined to preserve its leadership in the conditions of fair competition. Being “Azercell Telecom” J.V. we will further continue our policy aimed at introduction of latest technologies, expanding of coverage zone, providing qualitative and stable communication services to the rapidly growing number of subscribers, reduction of tariffs, protection of environment and implementation of social investments programs. This and several next years our large-scale projects, will be implemented under leadership of Mr. Halim Atesh.
