Baku, August 16, 2006 “Azercell Telecom” JV, which has been successfully advancing in the Azerbaijani cellular communication field, continues expanding contacts in the mobile communication field with various world countries. This time company has signed an international agreement about roaming services at the maritime space with “Vodafone” company from Malta. This is Azercell’s third roaming agreement signed with Malta.
Malta is located exactly in the middle of Mediterranean Sea – between Sicily and Tunisia. This island differs from others with its charming beauty and originality. Malta is also called “a tiny country.” In fact, lacking mountains and rivers Malta consists only of several streets and houses. But for centuries this Mediterranean island was a cradle of events happening in Europe and that is why Malta combines in itself an interesting history with a high culture. Probably, none of small counties in the world has so many samples of arts as Malta has. It is not accidental that every year this island is visited by more than million of tourists.
By present “Azercell Telecom” JV has concluded 280 roaming agreements with cellular communication operators from 128 world countries. The company’s goal is to make happy its subscribers with innovations, supply them with the latest achievements of cellular communication and increase number of services.
