Operator has been sponsoring female team of the club for three years

Mr. A. Halim Ates, General Manager of “Azercell Telecom” JV, has received administration of volleyball club “Rabita” and members of female team of the club in the company’s head office. “Azercell Telecom” has been sponsoring the female team since 2004. Through support of the company the team has won many victories. In September 2005 at the CIS sport games held in Baku it was awarded with the Gold Medal and at the “Friendship, Peace and Health” games held in June 2006 in Minsk it won Silver Medal.

At the meeting Jalil Jafarov, President of “Rabita” volleyball club, reminded that in addition to the second place won recently at the competitions in Belarus, the company has been conferred the rank of Champion of Beach Volleyball. Jafarov said that the local Championship will begin in October and the winner of the competition will participate at the European competitions. At the competitions the volleyball players of the team wear the uniform with the sign “Azercell Telecom”.

Mr. A. Halim Ates said that he knows about success of the team. He added that while sponsoring such projects the main goal of “Azercell Telecom” is to contribute to development of sport in the country and to serve to Azerbaijan. “We want the team always achieves success and we will be glad to work at that. I wish you a stable success and “Azercell Telecom” will continue providing its support to you.”

At the end of the meeting Mr. Halim Ates has presented members of the team with the gifts.

During 10 years of activities “Azercell Telecom” paid a special attention to development of science, culture, education and sports in the country. Sponsorship of our National Team in the Olympic Games in 2004, traditional support to the Rhythmic Gymnastics National Team of Azerbaijan Republic, “Azercell Cup” mini-football tournament held at the company’s initiative are among numerous examples.
