The number of base stations reached 1000 milestone!

“Azercell Telecom” JV continues tradition of improving quality of services and expanding the zone of its coverage and installed its 1000th base radio station.

The 1000th radio base station was installed in Pirallakhy district. The opening ceremony has been held on this occasion in the district. Representatives of publicity and mass media attended the ceremony.

Director of Azerbaijani representation “Ericsson Telecommunication AS” Veysal Aral, Director of “Telko Plus” company Rovshan Aliyev and the head of the Department for Work with state enterprises MCIT Aflatun Mamedov, representatives of publicity and mass media attended the ceremony.

While opening the ceremony A. Halim Ates, General Manager of “Azercell Telecom” JV, said: “Azercell Telecom” JV constantly contributes to development of mobile communication market and works hard to provide high quality communication and a wide assortment of services to its subscribers. Qualitative communication and stable mobile communication is impossible without modern equipment and radio base stations.

That is why in order to expand coverage of its network and provide high quality communication services, “Azercell Telecom” renews its equipment and installs new stations, as number of its subscribers is growing. At present we cover 74.5% territory of the country and 98% of population. We already have over 2 million of subscribers. “Azercell Telecom” always tries to march in step with time and will continue its efforts in this direction. Our company will further take every effort to provide qualitative services to the subscribers, which they worth!”

Until now the company has installed 2 reserve subscription bases, control systems for 11 base stations, 13 mobile communication centres and 246 stations during the past nine months. The main goal of installation of these stations is to offer an opportunity to the subscribers to have a stable communication even in a distant corner of the country. “Azercell Telecom” has been working hard for the convenience of its users and until end of this year it plans to install 289 such stations.

Expanding of the network coverage zone helps “Azercell Telecom” to apply mobile communication in various fields of life, including business. But while installing the equipment the leading operator of the country also pays attention to people’s health. “Azercell Telecom” JV is the first and only mobile communication company, which has officially assessed impact of its network on environment and social sector.
