“Azercell Telecom” awarded “INTELLECT-2006” prize!

“Azercell Telecom” JV has been awarded one more prize! This time leading company of Azerbaijani mobile communication market has been awarded “Intellect-2006” prize by “IT-Magazine”. The prize has been awarded to the mobile operator for “SIMURQ” service, which is an individual information service of “Azercell” family, which numbers 2,300,000 subscribers. “SIMURQ” was put into operation on the 10th jubilee of “Azercell Telecom” JV – on December 15, 2006.

“SIMURQ” – interactive information and entertainment service- is based on modern technologies and it will make revolutionary changes in mobile telecommunication. It was put into operation by “Azercell” company for the first time in Azerbaijan. The service will allow all “Azercell’s” subscribers to receive latest news from all corners of the world.

“Azercell Telecom” JV is awarded “Intellect-2006” prize for the third time. The operator was awarded this prize in 2004 for the tariff scale “GencSIM” and in 2005 for application of “EDGE” technology.

“Azercell Telecom” JV will further make glad its subscribers with application of the most modern information and communication technology.
