Azercell supports "Dan Ulduzu" festival

It’s almost fourth year that “Dan Ulduzu” International Artwork Festival takes place in Baku. Aim of this interesting event is to discover talanted children and young people and to help them in improving their skills. One of the advantages of the festival is to provide participation of orphans and children deprived of parents’ care. The organizers of the event intend to strengthen the children’s integration into society and to draw attention of the international communities, organizations and charity foundations to formation of aesthetic education in children and youth.

This year the festival was held again with support of Azercell Telecom JV. The program included exhibition of shildren’s hand works, painting and sports competitions, trips, sightseeings, different interesting gatherings, visits of the theaters, meetings with cultural and artistics figures and members of the Parlament. More than 300 participants of the festival represented not only orphanages and boarding schools of Azerbaijan, but also such countries as Kazakhistan, Ukraine, Georgia, Turkey, Poland and Russia.

The festival was held by initiative of the Dan Public Union and support of the Foundation for Friends of Azerbaijan Culture, Youth and Sports Ministry of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Ministry of Education, the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Problems and Baku Executive Authorities. The Honourable Chairman of the Protectors’ Board of the festival is Ms. Mehriban Aliyeva, the President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation. At the gala concert dedicated to results of festival, the children and youth from orphanages and boarding schools were awarded 4th Dan Ulduzu International Amateur Talent Festival prize-winner and honourable diplomas.

Azercell Telecom JV making important input in such a high level event, supported 1st Dan Ulduzu Festival in 2004 as well. The famous poem competition De! is one of the striking examples of such activities. This time Azercell Telecom favoured with a gladness and nice impressions to not only azerbaijani children, but also children from other countries.
