More contibution to science from Azercell

56th scientific-technical conference devoted to the Constitution Day has opened recently in the Academy of Science by support of the Azercell Telecom JV. In his opening speech, Siyavush Garayev, Academician, rector of the Academy underlined importance of the conference for the students and science in Azerbaijan. He said that such events positively effect scientific activity of the students and help their information exchange processes. He expressed gratitudes to the sponsors of the conference, especially Azercell Telecom JV, “for the support to future of science”. Misir Mardanov, the Minister of Education, Fuad Muradov, member of the Parliament and alumni from the Oil Academy and others adressed the conference as well.

The conference, which is to be progressed during three weeks aims publicizing the results of scientific-research works done by the Academy’s students in last education year. 342 lectures are to be heard in 20 meetings in the framework of the conference. Each lecture will be assessed by jury of 5 members. Diplomas of the Organizational Committee and money awards by the Trade Union of the students, and gifts by the sponsors will be presented to the best lecturer.

The main sponsor of the conference, Azercell Telecom JV became a traditional supporter of the events hold in Oil Academy, including the conferences devoted to the National Revival Day and Republic Day. Having close relationship with this higher education institution, Azercell not only takes part in organization of the scientific events, but also directly contributies to development of the students. The company presented lots of computers and high-speed Internet connection to the Oil Academy and opened the computer centre here.

The conference is to be closed on December 7.
