Azercell Telecom LLC is awarded as “The non oil sector leader” and “Telecommunication company of the year”

Azercell Telecom Limited Liability Company which unites millions of people around its circle has scored two additional achievements to its long range of success. This time, the Company has been given the international prize called Caspian Energy Integration Award – 2008.

Caspian Energy Integration Award has been established by Caspian Integration Business Club (CIBC) which brings together the companies from various countries. As it was in recent years, prize winners have been determined in the result of poll held among more than 7 thousand respondents. This has been reported by Mr.Telman Aliyev, the President of the Club during the prize presentation ceremony. According to him, 1500 company managers from 32 world countries, including Caspian – Black Sea basins and Baltic region have participated in this poll. Respondents have cited the names of companies which earned success in economic fields for various nominations.

In conformity with the results of the poll, Azercell Telecom has won two different nominations – “Telecommunication Company of the Year” and “Leader of Non Oil Sector”. During solemn ceremony held in International Trade Center, Mr.Halim Ateş, Azercell Telecom LLC CEO has been invited to the podium by two times. Having presented Non Oil Sector Leader Award to Mr.Halim Ateş, US Ambassador in Azerbaijan Mrs.Ann Derse has highly valued the activities of Azercell which last more than a decade and said: “We do hope that you will continue this outstanding job in the future”. Winner of two nominations – Azercell Telecom has been also congratulated by Mr.Elmir Velizadeh, deputy minister of Communications and Information Technologies. In his turn, Mr.Halim Ateş has expressed his thanks on behalf of Azercell family - more than 3 million subscribers of the Company for this trust.

During last years, late President of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev, President Ilham Aliyev, Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan have been awarded this price for various nominations. We should note that currently, Azercell Telecom LLC is the golden partner of Caspian Integration Business Club.
