Azercell takes part as usual in Caspian Telecoms 2008 conference

On April 17-18, largest event will take place in Istanbul in the field of telecommunications related to Turkey, Russia, Caspian and Black Seas as well as Central Asian regions. This time, Istanbul hosts again the largest in region conference and exhibition called Caspian Telecoms 2008 in the field of telecommunications and information technologies.

Being as a milestone event in the field of telecommunications every year, Caspian Telecoms conference will be once again organized with the main financial support of Fintur Holdings, which is the main shareholder of Azercell Telecom LLC.

The biggest companies of this sector in the region participate in the 7th International Conference and Exhibition devoted to telecommunications and information technologies. In this event, there are the delegations from Afghanistan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Iran, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Mongolia, Ukraine, Greece, Russia and other countries. In general, over 600 delegates from almost 20 countries are expected to take part in the conference.

As it was every year, the large delegation of Azerbaijan is heading again to the conference this time. Alongside with the delegation of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies, Azercell Telecom LLC leadership makes part of the delegation. During two days ceremony, civil servants will participate in this event jointly with specialists of telecommunications sector and deliver speeches on various topics. Besides Fintur Holdings management, it is expected that Mr.Halim Ateş, CEO of Azercell Telecom LLC will also deliver his speech. In his presentation entitled “Information Silk Way Capabilities”, Mr.Ateş will speak about development felt in ICT sector both in region and Azerbaijan. He will inform the public on investment opportunities and the role played by human resources in the growth of this sector.

We should note that the participation of Azercell Telecom in the largest regional telecommunications conference have become already a tradition.

Such discussion issues as new investment, access to international markets, establishment of new working relations, information about bringing innovations to telecommunications sector will be regarded in the light of common platform in this Caspian Telecoms international conference and exhibition. During this event, computers and IT companies, GSM equipment manufacturers, GSM operators, financial institutions, financial investment banks, satellite communications operators, internet providers, manufacturers of equipment necessary for IT technologies and other companies will be represented by their officials. Companies participating in this conference demonstrate hi-tech innovations, establish working contacts and sign multilateral agreements.

It should be noted that during last six years, there is an increasing interest to this conference in the region. During last year, almost 500 guests have participated in the event. This year, their number has exceeded 600 delegates. Currently, Caspian Telecoms 2008 international conference and exhibition has more than 30 sponsors.
