Media key award presentation ceremony is held by the sponsorship of Azercell

Ali Agan, Vice-CEO of Azercell Telecom LLC: “We will continue to be close to media in the future”

The 133rd Anniversary of the creation of Azerbaijani media has been celebrated on July 22, 2008. As usual, Media Key award presentation ceremony has been organized again in this professional holiday of journalists.

Being organized annually in last 11 years, prominent journalists, leading mass media leaders, politicians, NGO representatives, as well as international organizations officials have joined to the presentation ceremony. At the beginning of the ceremony, founders of Media Key award have informed participants about this event. Event attendants have been greeted by Mr. Arif Aliyev, Chairman of Yeni Nasil Journalists Union. Later on, Mr. Yadigar Mammadli, Chairman of Democratic Journalists League has spoken about friends always supporting media: “In this festive day, Azercell Telecom is again with us. It can be said surely that their importance to journalists is not less the media itself.”

Mr. Ali Agan, vice-CEO of Azercell Telecom LLC has congratulated all journalists on this occasion of holiday. Saying that “we are proud to be here”, Mr. Agan has recalled our times of information and technologies: “The only way to be able to solve better the problems of society is to obtain operative and right information. Media representatives collect right information, and in our turn, we transfer speedily this information from one source to another”.

Saying that Azercell and media representatives are striving for the same ideals in this field, Mr. Ali Agan has congratulated them on the occasion of holiday. Vice-CEO of Azercell Telecom LLC has spoken about a lot of initiatives fulfilled for journalists insofar in the framework of Development Sharing Platform as well as measures undertaken to help their development and serve to the improvement of their professional skills. He said: “We are proud to sponsor this Media Key award presentation ceremony, and even consider it as our commitment. In the future, we will continue to be close to media”.

After the delivery of speeches, names of winners of Media Key award have been announced to the public. Apart from Media Key, authors of the best journalist work for 5 nominations have been given diplomas and money bonus. The ceremony has been finalized with the performance of the famous art figures.

It should be noted that Azercell Telecom LLC has been the first ever sponsor of Media Key deemed as the most prestigious prize in Azerbaijani journalism. Since the first days of its creation, the Prize presentation ceremony is held every year with the support of Azercell. Furthermore, in the framework of Development Sharing Platform, Azercell has implemented large projects supporting the development of media representatives.
