The achievements of “Azercell Telecom” JV during recent years were greatly appreciated by the public. These areas include investments made to the economy of Azerbaijan, support provided for culture, art, sports and education of the country, and other charitable activities. Numerous diplomas and awards of the company also justify this. In 2003-2006, “Azercell” was awarded under the nominations “Company of the Year”, “Charity company of the Year”, “Top Manager”, and “Project of the Year” and "The National Brand of the Year" of the award “Ugur”. We would mention that “Ugur” is awarded to the persons, company managers, progressive and innovative companies and developers of projects, who have contributed to the development of business and entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan. Our company was also awarded, under the nomination of “Charity Organization of the Year”, the award “Grand”.

The leading company of Azerbaijani mobile communication market was awarded “Intellect” prize by “ITMagazine” in 2004, 2005 and 2006. The Operator was awarded this prize in 2004 for the tariff package “GəncSim”, in 2005 for EDGE technology and in 2006 for putting into operation of “Simurq” service, which is personal information tool.

In 2006 and 2007, we received another awards: in 2006 «GSM Company of the year», in 2007 «Philanthropist of the year» and «GSM Company of the year» of “Caspian Energy Integration Award”, founded by International Analytical Journal “Caspian Energy”.

Our company is awarded by Ministry of Taxes, for being the largest and exemplary tax-payer among the "TUSIAB”s members. Also, “Consulting and Business” magazine announced “Azercell Telecom” JV as a “Company of the Year” in two nominations - “Telecommunications” and “Corporate Social Responsibility”.

Having close relationships with journalists of Azerbaijan, “Azercell Telecom” has supported the “Media Key” Award, during recent years. Our company has been nominated Journalists' Friend more than once and we conduct regular «Telecommunication workshops» with the participation of foreign experts, to provide familiarization of media representatives with the GSM sector. In February, 2006 2-days seminar was held in the hotel “Excelcior” with participation of the experts of “Azercell” and “Ericsson”. The seminar was held for professional development of the journalists involved in mobile communication sector. In May, 2006 “Azercell Telecom” JV received the representatives of media. 25 media representatives were invited to express offices and head office of the operator. They were informed on work principles of “Azercell”.

Azercell Telecom JV was chosen as the most transparent company and awarded the Free Information Space prize according to the inquiry held by Zardabi Press Center among 1000 journalists in 2007. Zardabi Press Center is implementing the program covering 2006-2010 years to find out the situation, problems and tendencies in Azerbaijan while receiving information from a first source. As a component of the program the most transparent organizations were determined among the governmental institutions, joint ventures and shareholder entities, international organizations and diplomatic corps for their activities in 2006. More than 1000 journalists, editors and experts were inquired. According to the results of the poll the Foreign Affairs Ministry, OSCE Baku office, the US Embassy in Azerbaijan, and Azercell Telecom JV won the Free Information Space prize.
